SUMMER SESSION STARTS JUNE 13 (through August 17)

Our summer session is open to skaters of all (or no!) skill levels. Learn to Skate (Level 1) is non-contact and will teach the skills you need to be comfortable with wheels on your feet. Skate to Learn (Level 2) is a more advanced contact session for those with prior skating experience. Come train with some of the best roller derby athletes around and learn everything from basic skating skills to game play and strategy.
Cost will be $100 for the full session.

Sampler skate sessions will be held for both the Learn to Skate and Skate to Learn Levels

• Learn to Skate (Level 1) Sampler Skate with Madison Wreckers: Wednesday, May 24 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Fast Forward Skate Center
  • Interested in trying out roller derby, but not sure you're ready to jump in with both feet? This is a commitment-free and non-contact way to try out roller derby and meet some members of your local recreational roller derby team! Cost is $5 per skater to cover rink costs. We will provide wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads, and skates. We do have limited helmets to lend, so if you could bring one (bike helmets are ok!), that would be great. If you have your own skates and/or gear, you are of course free to bring those.We will run through some basic skating drills suitable for beginners that will give you the feel for a real practice. Get ready to havefun and use your muscles! Then there will be a brief Q&A time for more info about the league.We have a limited capacity! • Skate to Learn (Level 2) Sampler Skate with Mad Rollin' Dolls: Tuesday, May 23 (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) and Thursday, May 25 (4:30 to 6:30 p.m.) at Fast Forward Skate Center. Similar set-up to the above Wrecker session but with Mad Rollin' Dolls skaters rolling you through the paces. This is a contact level. We have a limited capacity!
